Where Are You at in Your Walk with God?
Key Verse: 1 Corinthians 3:1–3, 10–15
We often look healthy on the outside, but a medical check-up can reveal hidden issues. The same is true spiritually. Outwardly, we may appear fine, but God’s Word examines the heart and shows us where we truly stand.
Paul reminds us that believers grow in stages:
Infants in Christ – just beginning, learning basics, struggling with old habits.
Growing believers – developing prayer, Bible reading, obedience, and resilience.
Maturing believers – walking consistently, serving others, showing stability, and helping others grow.
The question is not where you were last year, or where others are today. The question is: Where am I now in my walk with God?
Paul also warns us about foundations. Many build on money, success, or people—but only Jesus Christ is the solid rock. Storms will come, but if Christ is our foundation, we will stand firm.
Self-examination is not condemnation—it is care. Just as a doctor checks us out of love, God examines us to heal and restore. Ask yourself: Am I spending time with Him? Am I obeying His Word? Am I becoming more like Christ? Am I helping others grow?
Hebrews 12:1–2 calls us to run with perseverance, fixing our eyes on Jesus. Don’t drift. Don’t stand still. Keep moving forward. One day, may we hear Him say:
“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
