The Institute for Theological Research and Training (ITRT) affirms the following foundational beliefs of the Christian faith:

1. The Holy Bible

We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, given by divine inspiration and serving as the foundation for faith, doctrine, and Christian living.
(2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20–21)

2. The Triune God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

3. Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His deity, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, His present intercession, and His promised second coming.

4. Salvation Through Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to God and the only means of salvation.
(John 14:6; Acts 4:12)

5. The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Godhead, our Counselor, Helper, and Guide. The Holy Spirit is given to the Church for the fulfillment of the Great Commission and for victorious Christian living.

We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit, including miracles, tongues, and prophecy, continue to operate in the Church until the return of Christ in glory and the gathering of His Church.

6. Baptism and the Filling of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit and the ongoing filling of the Holy Spirit are not experiences limited to the apostles but are available to every believer who earnestly seeks the fullness of the Spirit.

7. Holy Living and Christian Conduct

We believe that Christians are called to live holy lives in obedience to God and under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Genuine faith should be demonstrated through righteous living and good works, just as a tree is known by its fruit.
(1 Peter 1:16; James 2:14–26; Matthew 7:16)

8. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

We believe in believers’ baptism and the Lord’s Supper as ordinances given by the Lord Jesus Christ to be practiced by His Church in accordance with His Word.

9. Resurrection and Eternal Destiny

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved: the saved to everlasting life and the unsaved to everlasting judgment.

10. Humanity, Sin, and Redemption

We believe in the fall and depravity of humanity. Because of sin, humanity's only hope of redemption is through the grace of God, received by faith in the person and saving work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

11. The Church

We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ and that all believers are members of that Body. The Church is called to demonstrate the unity of Christ through fellowship, worship, mutual cooperation, and faithful service in His mission.
